Here are my favorite tech facts that might be interesting to you.

1. Do you know Google was named so accidentally?

Well it was originally supposed to be named Googol and not Google.

Googol is the digit 1 followed by 100 zeros . The founders chose Googol was meant to represent the binary code.

The founders searched for Googol to see if the domain was available, but they searched Google instead. The founders loved the name Google more than Googol, so they used Google. 

2. The mouse has been invented 3 times.

Yes, you guys heard me right, the mouse has been invented at least 3 times, let me explain-

In the early 1950’s mouse like input devices were developed at least twice, but for military purposes. 

These mouses were meant to be used to control military equipment remotely, but they ended up being classified.

Later in 1968, Doughlas Englebart made the computer mouse  
and the rest is history.

3.Duracell will replace your device?

Well, kind of.

You see, if a Duracell battery is leaked and it destroys your device and you send the device with the exploded battery to Duracell, they will buy you the same new device.

4. Nintendo was a playing card company.

Nintendo was founded in 1889 and was originally a playing card company, yes they were originally a playing card company.

Playing cards were Nintendo’s one and only product for 67years.

5. Old Google

You can visit the old Google by searching Google in 1998. 

This is just for people who want to taste the tech of the past.
